The Hi-State Family musical collective (which includes Hoomanaka's, V.M., Invisible Ink, and Todd G.) will be representing Hawaii's own metamorphosing scene with a style that draws from Hip-Hop's foundations, while mixing up with their own strain of beach/street savvy.

In the stillness of a pitch-dark Hawaiian night, beneath the daunting specter of Olomana Ridge, a venomous rhythm reverberates through the back roads of an isolated windward O'ahu neighborhood.  These are the notorious beats that have made Dj Premiere bob his head and Dr. Dre pick up the telephone.  This is the sound of Invisble Inc., the Hawaiian Islands most vital hip-hop troupe

 INVISIBLE INC.

Part of the Hi-State collective, Invisible Ink's four-man crew, consisting of Akira 8, Ha'o, Syze-One, and Mr. Rios, have been steadily marching through the underground ranks.  Invisible Inc has gone from corner ciphers and late night freestyle sessions to releasing two SP's on their own indie label, Hi State Recordings.  They have also appeared several times on radio's nationally syndicated Wake-Up Show, which world-premiered their song "Sleepwalker

LOCATION: Honolulu. Hawaii

ORIGIN:    An elitist group of lyricists, producers, DJ's formed during the early/mid nineties, after several years of circulating in the subterranean circuit. The diversely ethnic crew (blacks, whites, Asians, Latinos and Polynesians) have performed with such world renowned acts Wu-Tang Clan., The Roots, Black Eyed Peas, De La Soul, and The Pharcyde as well as organizing shows with Q-Bert and The Invisible Scratch Pickles. The Freestilions also received mention in the 100th anniversary issue of the Source Magazine. Invisible Ink was the last project completed

OBJECTIVE:   After selling hundreds (500 to be exact) of tapes, and repeatedly serving rap crews in the dozens. The Freestilions have grown weary of the concept that their music may be confined to this isolated region of the Planet. They're striving to create timeless compositions that will retain potency, even if listened to years after the original conception.

RESULTS:   A Hip Hop album conceptually ahead of it's time, but also absorbable to the modern day listener.
